Fadnavis Blames Pakistan for Delhi Blast, Citing Failed War Efforts

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has strongly condemned Pakistan for its alleged role in recent terror attacks on Indian soil, including the deadly Red Fort car blast in Delhi and the earlier Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir.

Speaking at a solemn event at the Gateway of India held to commemorate the upcoming 17th anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Fadnavis lauded India’s proactive counter-terror efforts, particularly Operation Sindoor.

Pakistan’s Inability to Wage a “Straight War”

“Pakistan knows it cannot defeat India in a straightforward war, and hence the terrorist attack in Pahalgam and the recent blast in Delhi took place,” Fadnavis asserted during the “Global Peace Honours” event organized by the Divyaj Foundation.

The Red Fort car blast, which occurred on November 10, claimed at least 15 lives and was reportedly carried out by a suicide bomber linked to a sophisticated “white-collar terror module”—a network exposed by Indian agencies in Kashmir and the NCR.

Fadnavis also praised the security agencies for busting the module, which had intended to conduct strikes across India, including in Mumbai. He highlighted the massive seizure of nearly 3,000 kg of IED-making ammunition and chemicals linked to the group.

CM Fadnavis: “Their intentions were to detonate bombs in every corner of India, and many cities of our country, including Mumbai, were their targets. But when our Indian agencies sensed this and directly attacked them, they demonstrated their presence by carrying out an explosion in Delhi.”

Lauding Operation Sindoor

The Chief Minister stressed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India now operates under the principle that “terror and talks cannot go together.” He explicitly referenced Operation Sindoor, the major missile and air strike campaign launched by India in May 2025 targeting terrorist infrastructure across the border in response to the Pahalgam attack in April 2025.

“Through Operation Sindoor, the world saw India’s might. India is a strong country, and the war (against terror) is not over,” Fadnavis stated.

Remembering the 26/11 attacks, Fadnavis noted that the assault on Mumbai was an attack on the country’s sovereignty. He added that had India shown the courage to conduct an Operation Sindoor immediately after 26/11, “nobody would have dared to attack us again.”

The event saw numerous dignitaries and celebrities, including actor Ranveer Singh, Nita Ambani of Reliance Foundation, and actor Shah Rukh Khan, join the ‘Walk of Honour’ to pay tribute to the 26/11 martyrs.
