Excitement Builds Among BJP Workers And Supporters Ahead Of PM Modi’s Election Rally In Yamuna Khadar

New Delhi [India], January 29: A massive crowd gathered at the Ghonda assembly constituency in Delhi on Sunday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi prepared to kickstart the BJP’s election campaign for the upcoming Delhi polls. Party workers and supporters were seen chanting slogans and eagerly awaiting his arrival.

The BJP has fielded Ajay Mahawar to contest from Ghonda, a seat the party won in the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has nominated Gaurav Verma for this constituency. The excitement surrounding PM Modi’s visit reflects the party’s efforts to regain control of the Delhi government, a goal it has not achieved in 27 years.

BJP worker Pinky shared her enthusiasm, highlighting the development work PM Modi has done for all communities, including those in flood-prone areas. “We want BJP to win. PM Modi does good work for everyone, and the announcements made for women’s welfare are also important,” she said.

Other supporters expressed similar sentiments. “PM Modi is working for the development of the country. We want a leader who will work for us,” one supporter said. Another added, “He is working for women and children. We came here to hear him speak.”

Local resident Lilavati, pointing to cleanliness issues in the city, also voiced her support for the Prime Minister’s leadership.

Ahead of the rally, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari expressed confidence that the BJP, under PM Modi’s guidance, would form the next Delhi government. “People are angry with Arvind Kejriwal and are eager for change,” Tiwari remarked, adding that BJP had a strong presence in Delhi.

The Delhi Assembly elections are set for February 5, with vote counting scheduled for February 8. A total of 699 candidates are vying for the 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly.
