Mridul Tiwari, the popular YouTuber and recently evicted contestant from the Bigg Boss 19 house, received a tumultuous and grand welcome in his hometown of Noida, cementing his status as a major fan favorite despite his mid-season exit.
Videos circulating widely on social media show the scale of the reception, where hundreds of admirers mobbed the vehicle carrying Mridul, chanting his name and cheering loudly. Adorned with multiple garlands, Mridul was seen waving from the car’s roof and shaking hands with fans, who showered him with flower petals as they celebrated his 80-day journey on the show.
The Controversial Exit
The grand welcome comes amid controversy surrounding Mridul’s eviction, which occurred during a mid-week twist decided by a small live audience inside the house, rather than the regular weekly public vote.
Mridul, who was eliminated after receiving fewer votes from the audience present, was quick to criticize the process.
Mridul Tiwari: “It felt like a joke. I completed the 80-day journey as a sincere player. I won’t blame the makers, but when I got to know that I was evicted because a handful of people didn’t vote for me during a task, it felt unfair.”
He argued that if the elimination had happened through a normal public vote, he would have accepted it, but the sudden change in format, involving only 50 people, went “absolutely against” him.
Live Audience Claims Misleading Instructions
The allegations of an unfair twist were further fueled by a video shared by an alleged member of the live audience, who claimed they were misled by the show’s team.
The audience member stated they were instructed to vote for the “captain of the house,” not for an elimination. “Had we known that our votes would decide who leaves the house, we would have never voted Mridul out,” the person claimed.
Mridul’s strong public support outside the house contrasts sharply with the twist that led to his exit, leading fans to voice their disappointment over what many are calling a “rigged” or “pre-planned” move by the makers to influence the game’s outcome.
With Mridul’s departure, the battle for the Bigg Boss 19 trophy intensifies among the remaining contestants, including Gaurav Khanna, Malti Chahar, Shehbaz Badesha, and Amaal Mallik.
