Washington [US], December 4: The highly anticipated third season of Euphoria is set to premiere in 2026, as confirmed by Warner Bros. Discovery’s global streaming chief, JB Perrette. Fans of the show, which has become a cultural phenomenon since its 2019 debut, have been eagerly awaiting the next chapter following the critical success of season two.
However, the production of Euphoria‘s third season has faced significant delays due to the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. The new season will begin shooting in January 2024, but it will be missing key cast members, including the late Angus Cloud, who tragically passed away in July 2023, and Storm Reid, who recently announced her departure from the series.
Despite these challenges, the core cast, including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Hunter Schafer, are expected to return. The previous season ended on a dramatic and emotional note, leaving Rue’s struggle with sobriety unresolved and raising anticipation for the upcoming storyline.
Meanwhile, HBO has also announced that The White Lotus will return for its third season in February 2025. This Emmy-winning anthology series, created by Mike White, will introduce a new group of guests at a White Lotus resort in Thailand. While the series will feature a mostly new cast, Natasha Rothwell will reprise her role as Belinda, the spa staffer from the first season.
The White Lotus has been a critical success, with the first season, set in Hawaii, earning 20 Emmy nominations and 10 wins, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. The second season, set in Sicily, garnered 23 nominations, winning five awards, including Outstanding Supporting Actress for Jennifer Coolidge.
Season three will feature new faces, including Patrick Schwarzenegger, Natasha Rothwell, Leslie Bibb, Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, and Walton Goggins. Schwarzenegger expressed his excitement about joining the show, calling it a “dream come true” and a “life-changing” experience.
