Actor Esha Gupta has safely returned to India after being stranded in Abu Dhabi due to the escalating US-Iran conflict. The actress took to Instagram to inform her followers that she is finally “back home” and expressed gratitude to everyone who supported her during the tense situation.
Esha revealed that the ordeal began on February 28 when she was at the Abu Dhabi airport. Around 1 pm, the airport was suddenly shut down amid reports of missile attacks, triggering panic and confusion among passengers. She described the atmosphere as chaotic, with travelers anxiously calling their families while consoling one another.
Praising the response of authorities in the United Arab Emirates, Esha said airport ground staff and security personnel acted swiftly and calmly despite the uncertainty. Since she had not checked in, she returned to her hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The actress shared that stranded passengers were given cash for food and later transported by buses to hotels across the city. She lauded hotel staff and delivery workers for continuing their services without disruption, ensuring no shortage of essentials.
Esha eventually boarded a flight to Delhi on Sunday. Although airport operations were not fully restored, she said staff members were cooperative and helpful.
In her final note, she thanked the Indian government for reassuring citizens and coordinating efforts to bring them home. She also expressed appreciation to the UAE government for working in solidarity with other nations during the crisis.
