Esha Deol Celebrates Women’s Empowerment On International Women’s Day

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 8: On International Women’s Day, actor Esha Deol shared her thoughts on the importance of women being given opportunities at every age to fulfill their dreams. She expressed her admiration for the progress women have made across various fields. She emphasized that women should be encouraged to pursue their dreams, regardless of their stage in life. “Women are ahead in every field… it feels great to see this… We should never forget our dreams. She (woman) should be given wings to fly, whether she is your daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, or mother,” Esha said.

The daughter of veteran actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, Esha Deol has been a notable figure in the Bollywood film industry, starring in popular films like Dhoom, Dus, and No Entry. After a hiatus, she made her acting comeback in 2022 with the thriller series Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, which aired on Disney+ Hotstar alongside actor Ajay Devgn. Esha will also be seen in the upcoming film Tumko Meri Kasam, starring alongside Anupam Kher.

Earlier on International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the strength and contributions of women. In a post on X, PM Modi announced that his social media accounts would be taken over by women from diverse fields to highlight their achievements. “We bow to our Nari Shakti on #WomensDay! Our Government has always worked for empowering women, reflected in our schemes and programmes. Today, as promised, my social media properties will be taken over by women who are making a mark in diverse fields!” PM Modi wrote.

Meanwhile, in an empowering initiative, the Central Railway marked International Women’s Day with the first-ever all-women crew to operate a Vande Bharat Express. The Vande Bharat Express, departing from CSMT for Sainagar Shirdi, was fully operated by an all-women crew. The Central Railway shared the historic moment on social media, saying, “For the first time ever, a Vande Bharat Express is being fully operated by an all-women crew, departing from CSMT on this #InternationalWomensDay!”
