Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi has finally spoken out about the viral craze surrounding a famous scene and line from Aryan Khan’s OTT series, The Bads of Bollywood***. This moment was inspired by Hashmi’s own career in film.
The new Netflix show has gotten a lot of attention in the entertainment world for its satirical take at the Hindi film industry, which includes a bold and unabashed look at fame, popularity, and controversy.
What Went Wrong
Actor Raghav Juyal, who plays a die-hard Emraan Hashmi fan, recreates the actor’s famous song “Kaho Na Kaho” in one of the most talked-about sequences. He also says a line that has gone viral:
“Akkha Bollywood ek taraf, Emraan Hashmi ek taraf.”
(One side has all of Bollywood, and the other has Emraan Hashmi.)
Fans are commemorating Hashmi’s lasting impact on the industry by talking about the debate on social media.
Emraan was happy that people now think of him as the person who made this viral event happen instead of his long-standing “serial kisser” moniker.
At the trailer releasing event for his next movie, Haq, Hashmi said:
“We knew that the dialogue from Ba*ds of Bollywood would go viral, but we never thought it would go viral like this.” Lesson learned.
He said with a laugh:
“I think before this, supporters either called me by my name or had a separate picture of me that started with the letter ‘S.’ I won’t mention it here. People remember that conversation when they talk about me now. So I don’t have any problems. I’m glad.
