Los Angeles [US], January 25: Emily Baldoni has publicly wished her husband, Justin Baldoni, a happy 41st birthday amid his ongoing legal dispute with actress Blake Lively.
The It Ends With Us director-actor celebrated his special day on January 24, and Emily took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message along with a family photo.
“Happy birthday my love. Celebrating the man, husband, and father that you are. I’d choose you again and again,” Emily wrote in her post.
The couple, married since 2013, are currently spending time in Hawaii with their two children, Maiya, 9, and Maxwell, 7, as reported by People.
Her birthday message comes as Justin Baldoni is embroiled in a serious legal battle with Blake Lively. In December 2023, Lively filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and claims he orchestrated a smear campaign against her. The actress alleged that she endured “grief, fear, trauma, and extreme anxiety” due to Baldoni’s “invasive, unwelcome, unprofessional, and sexually inappropriate behavior.”
Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, has dismissed the allegations as “false, outrageous, and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly harm.” In response, Baldoni filed a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, accusing them of extortion and defamation.
Lively’s legal team has called Baldoni’s countersuit “meritless,” adding that it reflects a desperate attempt to attack the woman involved and does not address the evidence in Lively’s original complaint. They stated, “The strategy of attacking the woman is desperate, it does not refute the evidence in Ms. Lively’s complaint, and it will fail.”
