Cheering for You’: Ellyse Perry Sends Emotional Message To RCB Ahead Of WPL 2026

Australia’s star all-rounder Ellyse Perry may not be part of the on-field action in WPL 2026, but her support for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) remains as strong as ever. Ahead of RCB’s opening match against Mumbai Indians at the DY Patil Stadium, Perry shared a heartfelt video message wishing the team and fans the very best for the season.

RCB, the reigning WPL 2024 champions, posted Perry’s message on Instagram with the caption, “A familiar voice wishing strength and support. Perry sends her love and luck to the squad for the #WPL2026 season ahead.” The video shows Perry addressing her teammates and the passionate “RCB Bold” fanbase, reflecting on the strong bond she has built with the franchise and the city over the past three years.

Although Perry has withdrawn from WPL 2026 due to personal reasons, she assured fans that she would be following every match closely and cheering for the team from home. “Hey team, all the very best tonight and for all of the WPL. I hope you guys have a great time. You’ve got the best fans in the world, and I’m sure they’ll be there cheering you on, as will I from home. Go well, have a great time,” she said in the video.

Perry’s absence marks the end of an era of remarkable consistency for RCB in the Women’s Premier League. Retained by the franchise for ₹2 crore ahead of the season, she scored an impressive 972 runs across three WPL seasons and played a key role in the team’s success.
