The competition inside the Bigg Boss 19 house heated up in a surprising way this weekend as contestants Tanya Mittal and Amaal Mallik secured their first post-show project, courtesy of television mogul Ekta Kapoor.
Ekta Kapoor, who often appears on the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes hosted by Salman Khan to promote her work and offer opportunities, revealed she was impressed by the duo and would love to cast them in an upcoming television project.
“Duniya Pittal Di!” Gets a Role
In a televised segment, Ekta Kapoor singled out the two contestants while addressing the housemates:
Ekta Kapoor: “Salman sir ke show mein ek offer karna mera riwaaz raha hai. Two people actually who I think I would love to cast. One is not an actor—Amaal. And the other person—‘Duniya pittal di!’ (Tanya Mittal). I would love to cast you.”
Tanya Mittal, the spiritual influencer whose popularity has soared during her time in the house, was visibly thrilled by the unexpected offer. “It’s a dream come true ma’am. Thank you so much,” she responded, ecstatic about her first step into the acting world.
However, the excitement was momentarily interrupted by host Salman Khan, who delivered a trademark playful jab related to Tanya’s often-discussed affluent background.
Salman Khan: “Lekin gareeb ladki ka role hai. Kaise karogi? (But it’s the role of a poor girl. How will you manage it?)”
The question sparked laughter among the housemates, referring to Tanya’s earlier, viral comment about finding Dubai’s Atlantis hotel “downmarket” for her wedding.
The ‘Bahu’ Role Prophecy
The offer comes just days after Tanya herself had a lighthearted discussion with housemates Gaurav Khanna and Ashnoor Kaur about her television aspirations.
In that conversation, Tanya confidently predicted she would be cast in a traditional bahu (daughter-in-law) role, saying, “I’m sure I am coming in some Bahu role, typical Bahu material.” She even joked that if she were to act opposite her current housemate, Kunickaa Sadanand, as her on-screen mother-in-law, she wouldn’t even need a script.
With her post-show future now seemingly secured by the TV czarina, Tanya Mittal and Amaal Mallik are set to trade the Bigg Boss house for the world of Balaji serials.
