Mumbai (Maharashtra), July 17: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde attended a special screening of Aamir Khan’s latest film Sitaare Zameen Par, applauding the sports drama for sensitively portraying children with learning and developmental disabilities.
The screening, organized by Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC, focused on raising awareness about neurodivergence and inclusive education. Speaking at the event, Shinde emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting children with intellectual and developmental challenges.
“Special children are not different from others in their right to education… The Maharashtra government is committed to providing all necessary support to ensure their integration into mainstream schools. If needed, decisions will also be positively considered at the BMC level,” said Shinde.
Film’s National Impact
