Ek Chatur Naar Day 1 Box Office: Divya Khosla’s Film Sees Underwhelming Opening Despite Positive Word-of-Mouth

Ek Chatur Naar, a dark comedy by Divya Khossla and Neil Nitin Mukesh, had a mixed reception at the box office. It made ₹1.04 crore on its first day. The movie came out on Friday, September 12, and is already facing a lot of competition from new releases. It hasn’t yet found its footing at the box office.

Critics gave the movie 4 stars, and some people who saw it liked it, while other industry reports say it had a harder time. Several newspapers say that the film’s opening day collection was far lower, with some sources saying it was as low as ₹50 lakhs. The black comedic thriller also had to compete with international releases like the Japanese anime movie Demon Slayer and the fantasy action flick Mirai, both of which had better starts in India.

Umesh Shukla helmed the movie, which promises a mix of suspense and comedy with its strange plot. Divya Khossla plays a sly but innocent woman, and Neil Nitin Mukesh plays a mystery part. Chhaya Kadam, Sushant Singh, and Zakir Hussain are some of the well-known performers in the cast.

Even if it started off poorly, the movie is likely to get more people to see it over the weekend. On Friday, it was just 22.74% full, but it got a lot busier during the night concerts. This suggests that good reviews and word-of-mouth could help it pick up speed in the next several days.
