Washington, DC [US], April 6: Music lovers have reason to rejoice as pop superstar Ed Sheeran and iconic rock band Weezer have officially joined the much-anticipated Coachella 2025 lineup, as reported byVariety.
However, fans hoping to catch both acts live at the same time may be disappointed. Sheeran and Weezer will perform during nearly identical time slots—on separate Saturdays—at the same venue. Weezer is set to hit the Mojave tent stage on April 12 at 3:10 p.m. for a 45-minute set, while Sheeran will take the same stage a week later, on April 19 at 3 p.m., with a full hour allotted for his performance.
Coachella revealed its updated performance schedule on social media, confirming that both artists will play during the early afternoon—a surprising move for such high-profile names.
The complete 2025 lineup features an electrifying roster of global talent. Saturday night co-headliners Green Day and Travis Scott will share duties with non-overlapping sets. Green Day will perform from 9:05 to 10:45 p.m. PT, followed by Scott, who takes the stage at midnight.
Lady Gaga will headline on both Friday nights—April 11 and 18—starting her set at 11:10 p.m. Other performers on Fridays include Missy Elliott, Lisa (of BLACKPINK fame), FKA Twigs, Glorilla, Benson Boone, The Go-Go’s, and Three 6 Mafia.
Saturdays (April 12 and 19) promise a dynamic lineup beyond Green Day and Weezer, including Charli XCX, Misfits, Anitta, T-Pain, LA Philharmonic, Jimmy Eat World, Alok, and even a set by Yo Gabba Gabba!
Post Malone is set to headline both Sunday nights (April 13 and 20), closing out the festival following performances from Megan Thee Stallion, Zedd, Jennie, Shaboozey, Ty Dolla $ign, and others.
Ed Sheeran’s surprise addition to the lineup comes amid the slow rollout of his upcoming album Play. Although no release date has been announced, the first single, titled Azizam, is already generating buzz. Sheeran is also scheduled to embark on a European tour from late May through August.
