New Delhi [India]: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held several significant meetings on the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue 2025, strengthening India’s diplomatic engagements and global outreach.
Jaishankar met with Ghana’s Foreign Minister Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa to discuss enhancing their development partnership and expanding South-South cooperation. Their talks focused on boosting economic collaboration and strengthening engagement with the Global South.

“A good meeting with Foreign Minister Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa on the sidelines of Raisina 2025. Explored opportunities to further our development partnership and South-South cooperation,” Jaishankar shared on X.
In an unexpected yet delightful encounter, Jaishankar also met with former New Zealand cricketer Ross Taylor, emphasizing the cultural ties between India and New Zealand.
“A Raisina bonus! Pleasure to meet the great New Zealand batsman Ross L Taylor,” Jaishankar posted.
On Ireland’s National Day, Jaishankar extended warm greetings to Irish Tanaiste and Foreign Minister Simon Harris, recalling Harris’ recent visit as an opportunity to renew bilateral bonds and strengthen ties.
Jaishankar also met with Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Stenergard to discuss enhancing India’s engagement with the European Union.
“Pleased to meet FM Maria Stenergard of Sweden this morning. Discussed deepening our engagement with the EU,” Jaishankar noted.
Further, he called on New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, acknowledging Luxon’s dedication to deepening bilateral relations.
“Pleased to call on PM Christopher Luxon of New Zealand. Appreciate his commitment to further deepening our longstanding ties. Looking forward to his participation as Chief Guest in Raisina Dialogue 2025,” Jaishankar stated.
The series of meetings underscored India’s diplomatic outreach and commitment to strengthening global partnerships.
The Raisina Dialogue is an annual conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, designed to address pressing global challenges. Structured similarly to the Shangri-La Dialogue, the event brings together global leaders, policymakers, and experts.
Hosted by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs, the Raisina Dialogue plays a vital role in advancing India’s diplomatic and security strategies.
