The couple made the news official on August 29 with a shared Instagram image that showed off the Princess’s new engagement ring.

Reports say that the proposal happened in June at Paris Fashion Week, when French Montana also walked the runway for the first time.
The engagement comes a little over a year after Sheikha Mahra’s divorce, which was highly public and quite renowned. She made headlines around the world in July 2024 when she wrote a now-deleted Instagram message to her then-husband, Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum. The letter said, “Dear Husband.” I am ending our marriage because you are too busy with other pals. “I divorce you, I divorce you, I divorce you.”
After the divorce, she started her own line of perfumes. The first one was called “Divorce,” which many people thought was her taking back the narrative.
Sheikha Mahra and French Montana, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch, have been together since late 2024. They have been spotted together at many well-known events in Dubai, Paris, and Morocco.
