United States: Donald Trump on Friday demanded “unconditional surrender” from Iran, stating that it was the only acceptable way to end the ongoing hostilities. The US President also promised that Washington would help rebuild Iran’s economy if Tehran complied and installed what he described as an acceptable new leadership.
Taking to his social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote that there would be no negotiations unless Iran agreed to complete capitulation.
“There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER,” Trump posted.
Tensions Escalate As Israel Targets Tehran And Beirut
Trump’s remarks came as Israel intensified its military campaign, carrying out airstrikes against key regime targets in Tehran, while also hitting Hezbollah positions in Beirut.
Meanwhile, Pete Hegseth, the United States Department of Defense Secretary, signalled that the US could escalate its own military involvement. He said American strikes against Iran were “about to surge dramatically.”
Trump Promises Economic Revival For Iran
In his post, Trump claimed that if the Islamic Republic surrendered, the United States and its allies would help restore Iran’s economy and stabilise the country.
According to him, Iran could be brought “back from the brink of destruction” and transformed into a stronger economy than before.
However, Trump stressed that any such support would depend on the installation of “a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s)” to replace the current leadership in Tehran.
‘Make Iran Great Again’ Slogan
Ending his message, Trump introduced a new political slogan — “MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!)” — a variation of his long-standing campaign slogan “Make America Great Again.”
The statement underscores the rapidly escalating tensions in the Middle East, as military actions and political rhetoric continue to intensify amid the widening conflict involving Iran, Israel and regional militant groups.
