“Donald Trump” Applies For Residence Certificate In Bihar, Application Found To Be Fake

In a bizarre incident that has garnered significant attention, an online application for a residence certificate has surfaced in the Mohiuddinnagar zone of Bihar’s Samastipur district, filed in the name of U.S. President Donald Trump.

The application, submitted on July 29, listed Trump’s address as “Village Hasanpur, Ward No. 13, Post Bakarpur, police station Mohiuddinnagar, district Samastipur.” It was registered under the application number BRCCO/2025/17989735 and even included a photo of the former U.S. President. The form also listed his parents as Frederick Christ Trump and Mary Anne MacLeod, which are their actual names.

Upon verification, the district officials quickly determined that the application was fraudulent. The form contained false information, including a manipulated photograph, an invalid Aadhaar number, a fake barcode, and fabricated address details.

The Circle Officer (CO) promptly rejected the application and has since forwarded the case to the cyber police station for a full investigation. The District Magistrate of Samastipur confirmed that the certificate was never issued and that an FIR has been filed. “No such person will be spared,” the DM stated, confirming that legal action is being taken. Authorities suspect the application was a prank intended to mock the administrative system, and they are now working to trace the IP address and login credentials used to submit the form.

This is not an isolated incident. The case is part of a growing trend in Bihar where several fake applications have been filed recently with absurd names such as “Dog Babu,” “Nitish Kumari,” and “Sonalika Tractor” in districts including Patna, Nalanda, and East Champaran. In response, authorities are now considering a technical audit of the online system and implementing stricter verification measures to prevent such misuse.

The incident has also taken on a political dimension. Congress leader Randeep Surjewala used the opportunity to criticize the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar. He shared a news clip about the incident and alleged that the entire process is a “fraud” and a method to “steal votes.”

Surjewala claimed that the Election Commission’s decision to cancel 65 lakh voter names is a “direct attack on electoral democracy” and urged citizens to join the fight with the Congress and Rahul Gandhi to protect democratic rights. He wrote on X, “This is the biggest proof that the entire process of ‘Electoral Roll Revision’ in Bihar is a fraud and a method of stealing votes.”
