Washington [US], January 24: Actor Divya Dutta, who has had the privilege of working with Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan in several films, recently shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, expressing her admiration for the iconic actor and reflecting on their memorable time working together.
In her post, the ‘Baghban’ star shared a photo with Amitabh Bachchan, where they both appear beaming with warmth. Alongside the image, she penned an emotional tribute, thanking Bachchan for his unwavering kindness and support over the years.
“I could never find the right words to describe what he means to me, how watching him weave his magic on the big screen connected me to the world of cinema, and how doing four films with him (including Baghban and The Last Lear) left me wanting more,” she wrote. “His generosity has always been overwhelming.”
Divya also recalled how Bachchan’s support extended to her personal endeavors: “How will I ever forget his prompt response to launch my book on ‘Maa’—such a special moment for me. And every time I meet him, there’s so much I want to express… but all I feel is the immense joy of simply being in his presence. Thank you, @amitabhbachchan sir, for being who you are. Always sending you lots of love and respect.”
Amitabh Bachchan and Divya Dutta have appeared together in several memorable films. In Baghban (2003), they portrayed a father and daughter-in-law, with Divya playing Reena Malhotra. In The Last Lear (2007), directed by Rituparno Ghosh, they starred as a retired Shakespearean actor and his caretaker. Their collaboration also includes Veer-Zaara (2004), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998), and Delhi 6 (2009).
