Reality TV star and Bigg Boss OTT winner Divya Agarwal has sparked a major controversy by alleging that she is receiving horrific “rape threats” and abusive messages from fans of Prince Narula.
Currently vacationing in the Maldives after her stint on the reality show The 50, Divya took to Instagram to reveal that trolls have claimed to know her address and threatened physical violence. She directly pointed the finger at Narula, her former “brother,” accusing him of weaponizing his fanbase against her.
The friction intensified after Prince Narula posted a video criticizing Divya’s gameplay in The 50, claiming she only performed one task and attempted to flip the game against him despite his efforts to save her. Divya retaliated by calling Narula “self-obsessed,” slamming him for publicly boasting about helping people and “instigating fans” to send her hate. She expressed that while she can handle criticism regarding the show, the escalation to threats of sexual violence is unacceptable.
Narula’s video also touched upon their fractured personal history, mocking her for once considering him a sibling and stating, “You couldn’t play well here either.” As the war of words escalates on social media, the situation has shifted from a reality TV rivalry to a serious discussion regarding online safety and the responsibility of celebrities over their fandoms.
