Washington [US], May 21: Walt Disney Studios has officially unveiled the teaser trailer for Zootopia 2, the long-awaited sequel to its 2016 Academy Award-winning animated hit Zootopia. The film is set to release theatrically in India on November 28, with versions available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
The teaser reunites fans with the beloved duo—rookie bunny cop Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and the street-smart fox Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman). The duo is back with another high-stakes case that threatens to upend the bustling animal metropolis of Zootopia.
This time, a mysterious new character named Gary De’Snake, a pit viper voiced by Ke Huy Quan, is introduced, hinting at fresh intrigue and unexpected twists in the already diverse ecosystem of the city.
The teaser showcases Judy and Nick navigating uncharted corners of Zootopia in pursuit of justice, challenging the limits of their partnership and uncovering secrets that could change everything.
The film is co-directed by Byron Howard, with Yvett Merino returning as producer—both of whom were part of the Oscar-winning creative team behind the original.
The voice cast features familiar voices and exciting newcomers. Shakira returns as the pop sensation Gazelle, while Fortune Feimster and Quinta Brunson join the cast in undisclosed roles.
