Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 2: Satish Salian, father of late celebrity manager Disha Salian, arrived at the Bombay High Court on Tuesday for the first hearing of his writ petition against Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray and others, alleging their involvement in his daughter’s mysterious death.
Accompanied by his lawyer Nilesh C Ojha, Satish Salian reiterated his faith in the judiciary, stating, “I have faith in the judiciary and God.”
Fresh Demands for Narco Tests and Protection
Last week, Salian made an emotional plea for justice, calling for narco-analysis tests on all alleged accused individuals, including Aaditya Thackeray, actor Sooraj Pancholi, and Dino Morea. He also sought protection for himself and his legal team.
“I demanded justice for my daughter. I also demanded protection, even for my counsel… I am ready for a Narco Test. But Aaditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, and Dino Morea should also undergo the test. All accused should be tested,” Salian told ANI.
He accused the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government of inaction during its 2.5-year tenure, stating that he was left with no choice but to take legal action himself.
“They (MVA) were in power for 2.5 years; after that, an SIT was formed, but they didn’t do anything. Then, I had to take this step… We will definitely get justice,” he asserted.
Uddhav Thackeray Denies Allegations
In response, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief and Aaditya Thackeray’s father, Uddhav Thackeray, denied any involvement of his family in the case. He challenged the accusers to provide concrete evidence in court.
“If they have evidence, they must present it in court. Six to seven generations of my family have worked for the people, and we have no connection to this issue. False allegations can backfire,” Uddhav stated.
He also questioned why other cases, such as the murder of Beed sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh, were not receiving similar attention.
