New Delhi [India], March 27: Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Dimple Yadav has accused the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government of being complicit in the vandalism and stone-pelting incident outside the residence of SP MP Ramji Lal Suman in Agra. She alleged that the attack was orchestrated with the collusion of the Karni Sena, the state government, and the administration.
“It is the responsibility of the BJP government and administration to send these violent elements to jail. This act is a result of their complicity,” Dimple Yadav stated.
Karni Sena’s Involvement Confirmed
Agra Police confirmed that Karni Sena workers were behind the attack, which involved stone-pelting, breaking window panes, and vandalizing vehicles outside the MP’s residence.
ACP Agra Sanjeev Tyagi stated, “Some people belonging to Karni Sena got angry over a statement made by SP MP Ramji Lal Suman. They went to his residence, pelted stones, and broke glasses. Several individuals have been taken into custody, and the incident is under investigation. Some police officers were also injured.”
Controversial Remarks on Rana Sanga Spark Outrage
The attack was reportedly triggered by a statement made by Ramji Lal Suman, in which he referred to Rana Sanga as a ‘traitor’ for allegedly inviting Babur to India to defeat Ibrahim Lodi.
Akhilesh Yadav Blames CM Yogi Adityanath for the Attack
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav strongly condemned the attack, alleging that UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath—who was in Agra at the time—had given his tacit approval for the incident.
“Whenever the BJP turns the pages of history, it is only to gain political advantage and spread hatred. Ramji Lal Suman is a Dalit MP with vast experience, and his residence was attacked when the Chief Minister was present in the district. This attack happened with his consent,” Akhilesh Yadav alleged.
The incident has sparked political tensions in Uttar Pradesh, with opposition leaders calling for strict action against those responsible.
