Diljit Dosanjh Talks About Being Racist in Australia
Diljit Dosanjh, a well-known Punjabi musician and actor who is now on his AURA globe tour, recently talked about how he faced bigotry while he was in Australia.
The singer posted a behind-the-scenes video on his official YouTube account that showed some of the work that went into getting ready for his concert in Sydney. But there was also a time in the film when Diljit talked about the racist comments he got online when he first got to the country.
He said, “Some agencies told me when I got to Australia.” Someone sent me the things that people were saying. People might say something like, “The new Uber driver is here” or “The new 7-11 worker has arrived.” I’ve seen a lot of these racist statements, but I think the globe should be one big place with no borders.
Diljit said, “I don’t mind being compared to cab or truck drivers.”
A lot of people would have been upset, but Diljit’s response showed that he was humble and mature. He claimed he doesn’t feel bad about those who say those things and instead talked about how important every job is in society.
“I don’t mind being compared to a truck or cab driver.” If there are no truck drivers, you won’t be able to acquire bread for your house. “I’m not mad, and I love everyone, even the people who say things like that about me,” he said.
People all throughout the world connected with what he said. “200% right,” said one fan. I was a security guard during your Aura night in Sydney! “Woooow Diljitliya mera!!” and “Respect for you brother” were two of the comments.

Diljit will next play in Brisbane as part of his AURA tour, after his amazing show in Sydney. The concert series around the world is in honor of his new album “AURA,” which came out on October 15, 2025. It has a combination of upbeat Punjabi beats and spiritual songs.
