Dhurandhar 2 Set to Escalate Action and Mystery by “50 Times,” Reveals Actor Naveen Kaushik

Mumbai: As the spy thriller Dhurandhar continues its record-breaking dominance at the box office, actor Naveen Kaushik has offered a tantalizing glimpse into the highly anticipated sequel. Kaushik, who earned widespread acclaim for his portrayal of the character Donga, revealed that the second installment will dramatically raise the stakes for audiences.

“50 Times” the Intensity

In a recent interview with Just Too Filmy, Kaushik teased that the scale of the sequel—slated for release on March 19, 2026—is unlike anything seen in the first part. While he confirmed that his character’s journey concludes in the first film, he shared insights from his time on set during the back-to-back production.

“Aapne Part 1 mein jo dekha hain na… the action, the mystery, the manipulation is going to be ramped up by 50! Because I have seen it being done! It is 50 times what is in this one. Shoot sab ho chuka hain (The shoot is already complete),” Kaushik stated.

The actor also reflected on the film’s viral success, noting that fans have not just loved specific scenes or songs, but have “owned” the film as a whole, meticulously analyzing every character and plot point.

A Historic Box Office Run

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has emerged as the definitive blockbuster of 2025. Within just 18 days of its December 5 release, the film has achieved several historic milestones:

  • 2025’s #1 Film: It has surpassed the lifetime global collections of Kantara: Chapter 1 (₹852 crore) and Chhaava (₹807 crore).
  • Global Milestone: The film has grossed over ₹876 crore worldwide and is on a rapid trajectory toward the ₹1,000 crore club—a first for lead actor Ranveer Singh.
  • Fastest to ₹500 Crore: In India, it became the fastest Hindi film to join the ₹500 crore net club, crossing the mark in a record 16 days.

What Lies Ahead in Part 2

The sequel, titled Dhurandhar: Part 2 – Revenge, will conclude the high-stakes story of Hamza (Ranveer Singh), an Indian operative embedded deep within the criminal underworld of Karachi. The powerhouse ensemble, featuring Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan, is set to return for the finale.

With the first film being praised for its “masculine spine” and fierce direction, the promise of a 50-fold increase in action and manipulation has set expectations sky-high for the March 2026 release.
