Dhurandhar 2 Advance Booking: Ranveer Singh’s Spy Thriller Earns ₹19 Crore In Premiere Sales

The highly anticipated spy thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, is already making headlines even before its theatrical release.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is scheduled to release on March 19, with premiere shows planned a day earlier on March 18. According to trade reports, the film has already grossed ₹19.01 crore in premiere advance bookings, setting a new benchmark for preview sales.

Over 3.5 Lakh Tickets Sold Before Release

Advance booking for the film opened on March 7, 2026, shortly after the trailer launch, and the response from fans has been overwhelming.

As per data from Sacnilk, the film has sold more than 3.5 lakh tickets across 8,371 shows for its premiere screenings. Out of these, over 1.5 lakh tickets were booked through PVR Inox, indicating strong audience demand.

The ₹19.01 crore gross has surpassed the previous premiere booking record held by Stree 2, pushing Dhurandhar: The Revenge to the top spot in premiere collections.

If blocked seats are included, the advance booking figure rises to ₹24.2 crore, bringing it close to the all-time paid preview record of ₹25 crore held by OG, starring Pawan Kalyan.

PVR Inox CEO Reacts to Massive Demand

Reacting to the strong advance sales, Gautam Dutta, CEO of PVR Inox Ltd, said the response shows audiences are eager to experience the film on the big screen.

“We have already surpassed 150,000 tickets in advance sales, and we are anticipating full-capacity audiences for the preview screenings of Dhurandhar: The Revenge nationwide,” he said.

He added that the response proves that moviegoers are returning to cinemas for large-scale theatrical experiences.

“This overwhelming response confirms that people are clearly choosing the big screen to experience this story first. It is incredibly encouraging to see such a strong start even before the formal release date.”

Dutta also emphasised that films like Dhurandhar are designed for theatrical viewing.

“Some movies require a theatrical environment. This film is made for the scale, sound and emotion that only cinemas can deliver.”

Budget and Expectations

The first Dhurandhar was a massive blockbuster, reportedly earning over ₹1,300 crore worldwide with a budget of around ₹200–250 crore.

The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is also said to have a production budget of ₹200–225 crore, setting high expectations for its box office performance.

With record-breaking advance bookings already in place, it will now be interesting to see how quickly the film recovers its investment and whether it can match or surpass the success of its predecessor.
