New Delhi [India], June 19: The much-anticipated socio-drama Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, has been granted a UA certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), making it accessible to a broad audience. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 20.
The makers shared the news via their official X handle, revealing that the film has a runtime of 181 minutes. “181 minutes of drama, emotion, love, greed, thrill, and everything in between! Kuberaa – A complete U/A socio-drama that promises a fresh cinematic experience,” the post read.
Starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh in key roles, Kuberaa is expected to be a powerful narrative exploring ambition, morality, and power. The film is directed by Sekhar Kammula, known for his work on Dollar Dreams.
The trailer, released earlier this week, offers an intense glimpse into a world driven by wealth and control. Dhanush’s character appears to challenge a corrupt system, while Nagarjuna plays a man of influence who believes that “money and power” govern the nation, not laws.
Jim Sarbh’s role adds to the high-stakes drama, as his character appears to be aligned with Nagarjuna’s pursuit of control. Rashmika Mandanna plays Dhanush’s emotionally conflicted love interest, warning him about the unshakable grip of the powerful elite.
The film’s score, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, enhances its mysterious and dramatic tone.
Kuberaa is jointly produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banners of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd.
