Devotees And Saints Gather For Basant Panchami’s Amrit Snan At Prayagraj

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India]: The sacred city of Prayagraj witnessed a grand gathering of saints and devotees from around the world on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, as they participated in the third Amrit Snan in the holy River Ganga.

Members of Nirmohi Ani Akhara, along with spiritual leaders from different countries, joined in the sacred bathing ritual, reaffirming their dedication to spreading Sanatan Dharma worldwide.

Global Participation in Amrit Snan

Rajeshwari Maa, Mahamandaleshwar from Japan, expressed her deep connection with the spiritual gathering, stating:
“I am from Japan, and it’s a great honour to be here for the Amrit Snan with our Akhara. After the snan, we will continue to stay here and do ‘sadhana’ with our students and bring the Sanatan Dharma back to Japan and all over the world.”

Similarly, Triveni Das Maharaj from Florida described the divine atmosphere at the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati:
“The energy in the air is palpable. There is electricity of divinity. This particular snan focuses on the energies of the goddess, the divine mother, in particular, Saraswati. We are all eagerly awaiting this dip in the Triveni Sangam.”

Akhara Leaders Celebrate the Occasion

Swami Awadesh Kumar Das of Nirmohi Ani Akhara emphasized the significance of the tradition, saying:
“Our Sanatan traditions are historic. All Vaishnavas from around the world are here at Tirthraj Prayag. All of us at Nirmohi Ani Akhara have gathered here with our gurus and saints. I congratulate everyone on this auspicious celebration of our faith.”

Shri Ramji Das of Nirmohi Ani Akhara praised the administration for smooth arrangements, adding:
“Today is the third Amrit Snan of this Maha Kumbh and everyone at Nirmohi Ani Akhara is ready for the sacred bath with our Nagas, our gurus, our saints, and our deity Shri Hanuman. The administration will efficiently take us for our snan.”

Acharya Dayanand Das Maharaj, a foreign spiritual leader, spoke about the importance of the holy dip:
“We are in the Nirmohi Akhara where all our ‘shishyas’ have come for ‘sadhana’, their spiritual practice. We are ready to take a holy dip in the Ganga. All of us, the family of humanity, will raise our consciousness to make the atma meet the Paramatma, to live as per dharma and humanity.”

Massive Devotee Participation

In a display of devotion, thousands of devotees took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam—the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. Petals were showered on saints and seers as they proceeded for the Amrit Snan, adding to the divine ambiance.

Officials reported that by 8 AM on Monday, more than 6.22 million devotees had performed the sacred bath at the Triveni Sangam during the third Amrit Snan on Basant Panchami.

The Maha Kumbh 2025 continues to witness an overwhelming outpouring of faith, reaffirming its significance as one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
