The yatra is progressing smoothly under heightened security and improved facilities, with pilgrims expressing joy and faith in the arrangements.
One pilgrim, Rajesh Giri, who has walked barefoot for 40 years, shared his devotion, saying, “I am going to Shri Amarnath Ji for the 25th time. I will go on foot and pray for Bharat’s progress. The arrangements are very good.”
First-time yatri Srikrishan Yadav said, “We are a group of six. This is my first yatra. My heart is happy and I’m excited for Baba’s darshan. I don’t feel tired at all. The arrangements are very good.”
Preeti Rathore, another devotee, added, “We are very excited for the darshan. The arrangements are even better than before. There is nothing to fear. I pray for everyone’s happiness and health.”
A day earlier, the first batch of pilgrims returned to Udhampur after completing their pilgrimage.
Meanwhile, security has been strengthened across Jammu and Kashmir, including along the Baltal and Pahalgam routes, to ensure the safety of pilgrims. The Jammu-Srinagar Highway remains a crucial corridor for thousands of yatris heading to the holy cave.
In Doda, police have stepped up efforts to secure the pilgrimage, reaffirming their commitment to eliminating terror threats and ensuring a safe yatra for all devotees.
