BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has confirmed that Devendra Fadnavis will take oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra soon, following his unanimous election as the leader of the Maharashtra BJP Legislative Party.
Tiwari stated:
“We have already fought elections under his leadership. I congratulate him. He will take oath as the Chief Minister very soon. I invite everyone to attend the oath-taking ceremony.”
Oath-Taking Ceremony Details
- Scheduled for December 5 at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan.
- The ceremony will see the swearing-in of the Chief Minister and two Deputy Chief Ministers, as confirmed by BJP’s central observer for Maharashtra, Union Minister Vijay Rupani.
- The final list of cabinet ministers will be decided after discussions within the Mahayuti alliance, comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction).
Victory and Milestone
- The Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024 was historic for the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, which won 235 seats, marking a decisive mandate.
- BJP: 132 seats (single largest party).

He stated:
“These elections were historic. Maharashtra has given a thumping mandate. I bow down before the voters and thank CM Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, and our allies. Together, we will lead Maharashtra to new heights.”
