New York [US] : Veteran actress Demi Moore made a dazzling statement at the Met Gala 2025, turning heads in a custom Thom Browne gown designed to resemble a men’s tie. At 62, Moore continues to redefine elegance and bold fashion with a look that fused structure, symbolism, and sophistication.

The intricately crafted gown, which echoed the gala’s theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and the dress code “Tailored for You,” featured a knot-like bust and a skirt shaped like a tie. Moore paired the look with striking black-and-white pom-pom heels, elevating the avant-garde aesthetic.
As reported by People magazine, the gown was adorned with more than 1.4 million beads, including:
- 22,000 black rectangle sequins
- 103,500 black cut beads
- 1,093,500 black bugle beads
The dress took over 7,600 hours to create, highlighting the meticulous craftsmanship behind the stunning couture piece.
Moore’s show-stopping appearance follows a stellar year in her career. She received critical acclaim for her role in The Substance, winning major accolades including a Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice Movie Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award, along with an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.
This year’s Met Gala theme and accompanying exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” celebrates the cultural and historical narratives of Black fashion, drawing inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s influential book “Slaves to Fashion.”
