Delhi Schools Targeted Again: 23 Institutions Receive Bomb Threats In Fourth Incident This Week

In a disturbing repeat of events, over 20 schools in Delhi received bomb threats via email on Friday morning, marking the fourth such incident this week. The threat emails, sent to 23 schools, prompted immediate evacuation procedures, deployment of bomb disposal squads, and widespread panic across the city.

The emails contained violent and disturbing language, claiming that explosive devices had been planted inside classrooms.

“I will erase every last one of you from this world. Not a single soul will survive. I will gladly laugh when I will watch the news, only to see the parents show up at the school and to be greeted by the cold, dismembered bodies of their children,” the mail read.

According to Delhi Police, the email received by Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar detailed the use of trinitrotoluene (TNT), stating:

“Hello. I am writing to let you know that I have placed several explosive devices (trinitrotoluene) within school classrooms.”

The threat also claimed that the explosives were concealed in black plastic bags. Beyond threats of violence, the email included references to mental health struggles, expressing rage toward the medical system and announcing the sender’s intention to die by suicide after the attack.

“You all deserve to suffer. I truly hate my life, I will commit suicide after the news, will slit my throat and slit my wrists. I was never truly helped, psychiatrists, psychologists, no one has ever cared and no one will ever care,” the letter added.

Schools Affected and Police Action

Some of the schools that received the email include:

  • St. Xavier’s School, Civil Lines
  • Richmond Global School, Paschim Vihar
  • Abhinav Public School, Rohini
  • The Sovereign School, Rohini

Authorities are still verifying the names of additional schools affected.

Bomb disposal teams, fire brigades, and Delhi Police units rushed to each of the institutions, launching search operations to sweep classrooms and premises. So far, no explosives have been recovered.

This threat comes just days after similar hoax emails were sent to around 10 schools and St Stephen’s College, leading to mass evacuations and widespread panic.

Context: A Rising Wave of Threats

This marks the fourth consecutive day this week that Delhi schools have been targeted with such threats. Wednesday alone saw seven schools receive similar emails. While all previous threats have been declared hoaxes, the psychological toll on students, parents, and school staff has been significant.

Authorities are investigating the source of the emails, working with cybercrime experts to trace the sender and determine whether the threats are part of a coordinated hoax campaign or an individual crisis-driven act.

Officials have urged calm and cooperation, reassuring the public that student safety remains the highest priority.
