Cannes [France]: Delhi-based fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi is once again capturing global attention at the Cannes Film Festival, making a dazzling return to the red carpet in a self-designed gown that blends elegance with innovation.
The influencer, who made her Cannes debut in 2024 with a pink gown that took 30 days and 1,000 meters of fabric to create, has continued her tradition of DIY haute couture—this time donning a striking gown with a plunging neckline, corseted bodice embellished with sequins, and a dramatic, multi-layered tulle skirt.
The gown, which also featured handcrafted rose florets and structured design elements, was entirely conceptualized and stitched by Tyagi herself. The ensemble showcased not only her creative vision but also her technical fashion skills, solidifying her growing reputation in the international style scene.
Her look was completed with:
- A sleek, centre-parted twisted bun,
- Statement jewellery,
- Intricate nail art, and
- A bold silver smokey eye with winged eyeliner and a brown lip shade.
Fashion influencer Sufi Motiwala posted a video of Nancy on Instagram, calling it “Nancy Tyagi’s second majestic Cannes slay.”
“From Delhi’s tailoring tables to Cannes’ red carpet—Nancy’s journey is not just inspiring, it’s revolutionary for the creator economy and fashion DIY movement,” a fashion blogger commented on X.
Nancy’s rise to fame began with her viral pink debut last year, which stunned audiences and industry veterans alike. That gown reportedly weighed over 20kg, symbolizing not just opulence but also the labor of love behind handmade fashion.
