New Delhi— The Public Works Department (PWD) of Delhi has withdrawn the tender for renovation work at the official residence of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, citing unspecified administrative reasons. The cancellation was confirmed through official documents accessed by news agency PTI.
CM Gupta had been allotted two bungalows on Raj Niwas Marg—one designated for residential purposes and the other as a camp office.
The initial renovation proposal had drawn some public and political attention due to speculation around the cost and scale of upgrades, though no formal controversy had erupted.
Officials have not disclosed whether a new tender will be issued in the future or if the renovation has been shelved altogether.
