New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday presented a detailed one-year report card of the Vidhan Sabha constituency, showcasing development work worth ₹250 crore and major infrastructure projects estimated at ₹10,000 crore, as the BJP-led government completed its first year in office.
The Chief Minister inaugurated redevelopment works at a district park, marking the start of a broader facelift for public spaces across the constituency. She announced that fountain renovation projects have been launched across the Vidhan Sabha and all Delhi Development Authority (DDA) parks, along with upgrades to gates, footpaths, walls, and public toilets.
Focus on Infrastructure and Public Amenities
Addressing residents during the event, CM Gupta said the government has compiled a comprehensive report outlining completed projects, ongoing initiatives, and future development plans.
“Today, I am presenting the report card of the Vidhan Sabha. It includes work worth ₹250 crore for this constituency and major projects worth ₹10,000 crore. This booklet details what we have completed, what is underway, and the plans we are implementing,” she said.
She added that the redevelopment of the district park had been under discussion for years, and the current government has finally initiated concrete work on the park’s infrastructure and facilities.
Delhi Set to Lead in Electric Buses
Earlier in the day, CM Gupta said Delhi is on track to become the state with the highest number of electric buses in India. Speaking to reporters ahead of the launch of 500 new electric buses, she thanked the people of Delhi for their trust in the BJP government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“I want to thank the people of Delhi for trusting the BJP government and the development initiatives of PM Modi. Because of their trust, this government is working 365 days a year for the people. Delhi will soon have the maximum number of EV buses,” she said.
Major EV Bus Launch Event
BJP National President Nitin Nabin is scheduled to launch 500 electric buses along with the Delhi–Panipat inter-state bus service at Ramlila Maidan, in the presence of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The move is expected to boost public transport capacity and promote cleaner mobility in the national capital.
