New Delhi [India], May 31: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented her government’s 100-day report card on Saturday at the ‘100 Din Seva Ke’ event in the capital, emphasizing the administration’s developmental initiatives and public welfare schemes while responding to continued opposition scrutiny.
Speaking to the media after the event, CM Gupta said, “We had a discussion on the works done by the Delhi government in 100 days…The opposition has a habit of raising questions…Mahila Samriddhi Yojana will be released after all the legal proceedings are completed.”
She underscored that the government’s decisions over the past three months were made in the public interest and reaffirmed her commitment to implement the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, a flagship women’s welfare and financial empowerment scheme, following completion of legal procedures.
“We presented the report card of the work done by the Delhi government in 100 days. We took decisions keeping in mind the public interest…We have worked for the development of Delhi in 100 days,” she added.
The event also saw participation from several senior BJP leaders, who echoed the Chief Minister’s sentiments and praised the pace and impact of the new government’s performance.
Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh took a swipe at former CM Arvind Kejriwal, stating, “We have done what Arvind Kejriwal could not do in 10 years…The triple-engine government will provide solutions to all the problems of the public of Delhi.”
Delhi Minister Ashish Sood highlighted specific actions taken by the administration, including legislation to curb exploitative school fees, and initiatives to combat pollution such as installing sprinklers on buildings.
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari commended the cooperation between the Centre and the Delhi government, calling it a “double-engine government” committed to transforming the capital within five years.
Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva described the 100-day report as a “sign of change,” saying it reflects a “changing picture of Delhi” and asserted the government’s ongoing dedication to citywide development.
Notably, actor Anupam Kher attended the event and lauded CM Gupta’s transparency. “My questions were the questions of the public of Delhi…She answered them truthfully and vocally…I hope that what she spoke about today with truth, resonates also after four years of her completion,” he said.
The event marked a confident showcase of the government’s short-term achievements and set the tone for its longer-term goals, amid a politically charged environment.
