- BJP to Table CAG Report: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) plans to table the Comptroller and Auditor General’s (CAG) report on the second day of the session, February 25. The report, which became a major talking point during Delhi’s election campaign, highlights a revenue loss of Rs 2,026 crore due to irregularities in the Delhi government’s excise policy.
- BJP Confident of Exposing Corruption: BJP MLA Harish Khurana expressed confidence that the CAG report would uncover the truth behind alleged corruption in the AAP-led government, mentioning issues related to the excise policy, the renovation of the CM’s residence (termed “Sheesh Mahal”), and other policies.
- AAP’s Response: AAP spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar hit back at the BJP, accusing them of imposing their agenda instead of addressing promises made during the election campaign.
