Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Highlights Rural Development Initiatives; Reacts To PM Modi’s Message On Pahalgam Terror Attack

New Delhi [India] : Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the development of rural areas in the capital, announcing a dedicated fund of ₹1,200 crore for this purpose. She also shared that 110 villages have been successfully connected to the IGL gas pipeline network.

Speaking to mediapersons, Gupta said, “The government is continuously working for the rural areas of Delhi. We have earmarked ₹1,200 crore specifically for rural development. As part of our efforts, 110 villages have been connected to the IGL pipeline.”

During her visit to Bawana, Gupta also participated in ‘Gau Seva’ at the Gramin Gaushala, underlining her connection with rural communities.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister tuned in to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 121st episode of the radio program Mann Ki Baat, where he strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.

Addressing the nation, PM Modi expressed deep sorrow over the April 22 attack and assured that the perpetrators would face the “harshest response.” “Nyaye milke rahega,” he declared, emphasizing the government’s commitment to justice.

Describing the attack as an act of cowardice by the patrons of terrorism, Modi said, “As peace was returning to Kashmir, the enemies of the nation and J&K did not like it. Terrorists and their masters want Kashmir to be destroyed again, which is why such a conspiracy was hatched.”

The Prime Minister called for national unity in combating terrorism, stressing that India’s collective resolve remains its greatest strength.
