New Delhi [India], May 26: The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday appointed new presidents for its 14 district units across the national capital in a major organisational revamp aimed at strengthening grassroots presence.
Delhi BJP president Virendraa Sachdeva congratulated the newly appointed leaders and expressed confidence in their role in expanding the party’s base and furthering government policies on the ground.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reassured slum dwellers of the government’s commitment to urban development without displacement. During her visit to a slum area, she emphasized that no slum settlements in Delhi will be demolished, countering misinformation circulating on social media.
“We are working tirelessly for slum development. A budget of Rs 700 crore has been allocated for improvements like sewer lines, toilets, bathrooms, and parks,” said CM Gupta. She also highlighted the government’s efforts to clean the Yamuna River and address waterlogging, with designated officers held accountable for performance.
