New Delhi [India], March 27 : Delhi Minister Ashish Sood has assured that every Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report will be discussed, and all instances of corruption will be exposed. His statement came in response to Leader of Opposition (LoP) Atishi’s demand for the tabling of all 14 CAG reports in the Delhi Legislative Assembly.
Addressing the issue on Thursday, Sood said that analyzing the extensive CAG report requires time. He accused Atishi of being in a rush while questioning why previous governments had delayed the release of these reports. “Every report will be discussed, and every corruption will be exposed,” he told ANI.
On Wednesday, Atishi had raised concerns over the delay in presenting all 14 reports and urged the Speaker to table the remaining 11 in the ongoing session. She criticized the BJP for not following the High Court’s order to present the reports promptly.
Atishi pointed out that the reports have been available since December and questioned the delay despite the urgency previously shown by the BJP. She also noted that the current Speaker, Vijender Gupta, had earlier approached the Court, which had directed that all reports be tabled at the earliest.
The controversy follows the recent tabling of the CAG report on Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on March 24. The report highlighted operational inefficiencies and financial losses under the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, leading to sharp criticism.
The report assesses DTC’s key operational and financial aspects, including fleet management, revenue generation, and adherence to public transport policies, identifying areas needing urgent improvement.
