New Delhi [India]: Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, who is leading one of the parliamentary delegations under India’s global outreach initiative Operation Sindoor, stated on Wednesday that the delegation’s mission is to expose Pakistan’s role in state-sponsored terrorism to the international community.
“Look, one of the biggest issues is that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is sending seven delegations in the world. Right now we are going and our delegation is going to Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. The biggest issue is that this terrorism, which is Pakistan’s state policy. It is the job of the entire delegation to reveal the face of Pakistan to the entire world. The whole state of Pakistan sponsors terrorism, and the terrorism thrives completely with the support of the state,” Jha told media.
He emphasized that another key objective is to challenge Pakistan’s nuclear rhetoric and to assert that India will not tolerate terror activities any longer.
“We want to tell this matter to the whole world and the other thing is about the nuclear bluff. We want to convey that we will not tolerate the terror activities perpetrated by Pakistan. We want to convey the message that enough is enough now,” he added.
Jha also touched on the Indus Water Treaty, highlighting that it was originally signed with the expectation of peaceful cooperation between India and Pakistan.
“The third is the issue of Indus Water Treaty. When the treaty was signed, it was under the assumption that there would be friendly and cooperation between both countries,” he said.
He reiterated that there is national unity behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stance and the Indian Army’s response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack.
“The biggest thing is that the Prime Minister and the country is united on this issue across party lines. Everyone that is going on this delegation will also tell the world about the whole issue. The parties are standing in unison,” he said.
As part of Operation Sindoor, seven All-Party Delegations are being sent to visit key partner nations later this month, including UN Security Council members. The goal is to present India’s united front and zero-tolerance approach to terrorism.
Before the departure, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri briefed the Members of Parliament and delegates at Parliament House, outlining the agenda and objectives of the outreach.
The delegations are led by notable leaders including Shashi Tharoor (Congress), Ravi Shankar Prasad and Baijayant Panda (BJP), Sanjay Kumar Jha (JD-U), Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK), and Supriya Sule (NCP-SP).
The All-Party Delegations aim to amplify India’s unified stance on terrorism and convey a clear message of zero-tolerance for terrorism in all forms and manifestations.
