Defence Secretary Visits Indian Navy’s Air Base INS Rajali For Strategic Review

New Delhi [India], January 14: Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh visited INS Rajali, the Indian Navy’s Naval Air Station located near Arakkonam, Tamil Nadu, on Monday. During his visit, he inspected various operational facilities and was briefed on the station’s extensive operations and its capabilities in meeting the evolving security challenges.

The visit highlighted INS Rajali’s advanced infrastructure and its strategic role in maritime surveillance and combat readiness. Commodore Kapil Mehta, the Commanding Officer of INS Rajali, provided an overview of the station’s operational preparedness and its crucial role in ensuring maritime security within the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).

Rajesh Kumar Singh also engaged with the service personnel, commending their dedication and contribution towards safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests. He underscored the importance of maintaining combat readiness and operational vigilance to address the dynamic challenges posed by the geopolitical landscape of the IOR.
