Bhuj (Gujarat) [India]: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Bhuj, Gujarat, on Thursday, where he will interact with Air Warriors at the Bhuj Air Force Station. He was accompanied by Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, the Chief of the Air Staff.
The visit to Bhuj follows Singh’s recent trip to Badami Bagh Cantonment in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, where he met and addressed Indian Army soldiers. During his visit to Bhuj, Singh will also pay tribute at the Smritivan Earthquake Memorial and Museum, which commemorates the victims of the 2001 Gujarat earthquake.
A day earlier, while speaking in Srinagar, Singh lauded the Armed Forces for their successful execution of Operation Sindoor, emphasizing India’s unyielding stand against terrorism and dismissing Pakistan’s repeated and “irresponsible” nuclear threats.
“Our forces have shown the world that their aim is precise and pinpoint, and the task of counting is left to the enemies,” Singh stated during his address to troops at Badami Bagh.
He also took a sharp jab at Pakistan’s nuclear posture:
“I raise this question before the world: Are nuclear weapons safe in the hands of such an irresponsible and rogue nation? Pakistan’s nuclear weapons should be taken under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA),” Singh asserted.
Singh expressed deep gratitude to Indian soldiers who carried out targeted attacks on Pakistani posts and bunkers across the border during Operation Sindoor, sending a strong deterrent message.
“I come here today with a message from the people of India: ‘We are proud of our Forces’,” he said.
Reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policy stance, Singh emphasized that talks with Pakistan are only possible on the subjects of terrorism and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
“No unwarranted action should be taken from across the border,” Singh said, underlining that peace depends on respecting the understanding between the two nations.
He also paid homage to the civilians killed in the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, as well as the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during Operation Sindoor. Singh praised the courage of the injured personnel and extended his best wishes for their speedy recovery.
