Los Angeles [US], July 3: In a proud moment for India, Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone has been selected to receive a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2026.
Deepika’s name was announced on Wednesday at a live press conference from Ovation Hollywood, alongside other global icons including Miley Cyrus, Timothee Chalamet, Emily Blunt, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Franco Nero, and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, Billboard reported.
The announcement has sent Deepika’s fans into a frenzy, celebrating the actress’s international recognition. Deepika made her Hollywood debut in 2017 with xXx: Return of Xander Cage and has since featured in TIME’s 100 Most Influential People list and Variety’s International Women’s Impact Report. She has also turned heads at the Cannes Film Festival and the Met Gala with her iconic red-carpet appearances.
The honorees were selected from hundreds of nominations by the Hollywood Walk of Fame selection panel at a meeting on June 20, with the Chamber of Commerce board of directors ratifying the choices on June 25.
