Bollywood’s favourite couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, recently enjoyed a cosy dinner date at a popular New York restaurant during their New Year getaway. The duo, who rang in the New Year in the city, returned to India on January 11, but glimpses from their trip continue to charm fans online.
A picture that has gone viral shows Deepika and Ranveer posing with chef Mayank Istwal at Musaafer, a Michelin-star restaurant in New York. Shared by the chef on Instagram, the photo captures the couple twinning in black outfits and smiling warmly for the camera. Calling them “amazing humans,” Mayank expressed his delight at hosting the star couple.
Adding to fans’ excitement, the chef revealed what Deepika and Ranveer ordered during their visit. Responding to a comment online, he confirmed that the two relished Indian delicacies, including his much-loved dal makhani, proving that the couple’s love for desi food travels with them wherever they go.
Fans were quick to react, with many suggesting the couple seemed to be on a food trail across New York. Comments like “DP is glowing” and “They look so in love” flooded social media, further cementing their status as one of Bollywood’s most adored pairs.
Earlier during their New York trip, Deepika and Ranveer also visited chef Vikas Khanna’s restaurant, Bungalow, where they celebrated Ranveer’s film success by enjoying modak. Deepika even tried her hand at making the sweet under Vikas Khanna’s guidance.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone will next be seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in King, directed by Siddharth Anand, and also has Atlee’s AA22xA6 lined up. Ranveer Singh, meanwhile, is basking in the success of Dhurandhar and is gearing up for its sequel, slated for release on March 19, 2026.
