New Delhi, [India]: Deepak Kumar Kedia, Inspector General (IG) Headquarters, National Security Guard (NSG), has been recognized with the ‘CA in Public Service’ Award by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for his outstanding contributions to public service, particularly in law enforcement and national security.
Adding another accolade to his distinguished career, Kedia received the award at the World Forum of Accountants Meet in New Delhi on February 1.
Earlier, on Republic Day, he was also honored with the prestigious ‘President Medal for Distinguished Service’, highlighting his exceptional service in law enforcement and national security.
A Unique Career in Finance and Law Enforcement
Kedia, often referred to as the ‘CA in Uniform’, has an illustrious career spanning both finance and policing. Before joining the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1999, he worked in the Finance and Accounts Department of the Steel Authority of India (SAIL), Rourkela Steel Plant.
With an impressive academic background, Kedia is a Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). He also holds a Master of Arts in Anti-Corruption Studies from the **International Anti-Corruption Academy, Vienna, Austria
