Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 10: Actor Darsheel Safary is set to headline the upcoming web series ‘Gamerlog’, a youth-centric comedy-drama that dives deep into India’s fast-growing E-sports culture. The show, directed by debutant Arya Deo and produced by Abhinay Deo and Neeta Shah, will stream for free on Amazon MX Player starting June 12.
The official trailer, recently released by the makers, showcases an emotionally charged and fast-paced journey through the competitive world of gaming.
Joining Safary in the cast are Anjali Sivaraman, Chinmay Chandraunshuh, Kunal Bhan, Chetan Dhawan, Shubroy Chowdhury, and Akash Menon, all playing key roles.
The story revolves around Raghu aka Maverick, a gifted yet introverted gamer who leaves behind his small-town life to chase his dream in Mumbai. There, he becomes part of a quirky gaming team called Team Gamerlog, led by the fierce and focused Joanna. The team faces challenges of internal conflict, emotional baggage, and fierce rivalries, all building up to the high-stakes Tournament of Champions — India’s biggest esports event.
