Cristiano Ronaldo Makes History, Becomes First Player To Score 100 Goals In Four Separate Countries

Hong Kong: Cristiano Ronaldo, a football legend, has made history once more. During the Saudi Super Cup final versus Al Ahli on Saturday, the 40-year-old Portuguese star became the first player ever to score 100 goals in four different countries.

In the 41st minute of the game, Ronaldo, who joined Saudi side Al Nassr in 2023, scored a penalty kick to give his team the lead and his 100th goal in Saudi Arabia. This new achievement adds to his already amazing career stats, which include a record 450 goals for Real Madrid (Spain), 145 for Manchester United (England), 101 for Juventus (Italy), and 138 for his national side, Portugal. His first professional team, Sporting CP in Portugal, is the only major club where he didn’t score 100 goals.

Fans on social media praised and admired Ronaldo’s milestone. One admirer said, “That’s why he’s called the goat 🐐,” and another wrote, “Cristiano Ronaldo was the previous holder of the record.” He continues beating his own record. A third enthusiast said, “This guy has had a great career!” And, surprisingly, there’s still more to come, even if he’s beyond 40.

Before the final on Saturday, Ronaldo had scored 99 goals in 111 games for Al Nassr in all competitions. His play in the Saudi Super Cup has been very important. He set up a goal that won the game against Saudi Pro League winners Al Ittihad by assisting his fellow countryman João Félix in the semifinal.

The Hong Kong Stadium was the site of this historic Saudi Super Cup final, which was the first to be hosted outside of the Middle East. Thousands of spectators came to see the global superstar play. The explosive environment, which was brought on by fans of both Al Nassr and Al Ahli, showed how popular the event and its star player were.

Ronaldo has won five Ballon d’Or awards during his career, and most people think he is one of the best football players ever. He came up through the development system at Sporting CP before moving to Manchester United in 2003. There, he won three Premier League titles and a Champions League title, which set the groundwork for his amazing career of breaking records and winning trophies at every club he’s played for.
