Cristiano Ronaldo Extends Al Nassr Contract Until 2027: “Let’s Make History Together”

Riyadh [Saudi Arabia], June 26: Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has officially extended his contract with Al Nassr until 2027, confirming his continued presence in the Saudi Pro League (SPL), according to a report by ESPN.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Ronaldo announced the extension with a powerful message to fans:

“A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history together.”

Ronaldo first joined Al Nassr in late 2022, shortly after the FIFA World Cup, following his high-profile exit from Manchester United. Since signing what was then a two-and-a-half-year deal, he has gone on to become the highest-paid athlete in the world, topping Forbes’ list for three consecutive years.

Career Stats with Al Nassr

  • Goals: 93
  • Matches Played: 105
  • Total Career Goals (club + country): 932
    • Club Goals: 794
    • Portugal Goals: 138

Even at 40 years of age, Ronaldo continues to defy expectations. Earlier this month, he helped lead Portugal to a UEFA Nations League title, defeating Spain in the final — reaffirming his status as a game-changer on the global stage.

Despite winning the Arab Club Champions Cup with Al Nassr, the SPL title has so far eluded him. The club finished:

  • Runners-up in 2022–23 and 2023–24
  • Third in 2024–25

Al Nassr’s Future with Ronaldo

Al Nassr’s Sporting Director Fernando Hierro previously expressed strong interest in renewing Ronaldo’s contract, stating in May that the club was eager to keep him amidst growing interest from other teams.

This confirmation comes after Ronaldo hinted that the final match of the season against Al-Fateh might be his last with the club. With the new deal now official, fans can expect more record-breaking performances from one of football’s greatest icons.
