CR Kesavan Slams Congress Leadership Over Letter To PM, Alleges Promotion Of ‘Pro-Pakistan Agenda’

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India] : BJP leader CR Kesavan strongly criticized Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday, claiming their recent letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi lacks “credibility and integrity” and accuses them of placing Pakistan’s agenda above India’s national interest.

The criticism follows a joint letter by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, urging the Prime Minister to convene a special session of Parliament in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to ANI, Kesavan said, “Rahul Gandhi and Kharge ji’s letter to PM Modi lacks credibility and integrity. The way in which the opposition and particularly Congress leaders have been betraying Bharat by blatantly prioritising Pakistan’s agenda ahead of India’s national interest. One wonders whether INC now stands for Indian National Congress or Indian Nemesis Congress.”

He further accused the Congress of making “atrocious statements” and spreading “perilous pro-Pakistan propaganda.”

In the letter, Gandhi had written, “The terrorist attack in Pahalgam has outraged every Indian. At this critical time, India must show that we will always stand together against terrorism.” The letter also called for a special session of both Houses of Parliament to allow representatives to “show their unity and determination” in the wake of the attack.

The political debate unfolds amid rising concerns over national security and the public outcry following the Pahalgam terror incident, which left 26 dead.
