Congress Leadership, Families Of Victims Hail Operation Sindoor As Nation Stands United Against Terror

In a strong demonstration of national unity, Congress leaders across the board praised the Indian Armed Forces for their successful execution of Operation Sindoor, which targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), marking India’s deepest strike inside Pakistan’s undisputed territory since 1971.

Rahul Gandhi: “Proud of Our Armed Forces”

Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi took to X to salute the military’s precision strikes:

“Proud of our Armed Forces. Jai Hind!”

Mallikarjun Kharge: “National Unity Is the Need of the Hour”

Congress President and Rajya Sabha LoP Mallikarjun Kharge echoed the sentiment, expressing unwavering support for the armed forces and the government’s decision to respond strongly to cross-border terror.

“Since the day of the Pahalgam Terror Attack, the Indian National Congress has categorically stood with the Armed Forces and the Government… National Unity and solidarity are the need of the hour.”
“India has an unflinching National Policy against all forms of terrorism emanating from Pakistan and PoK. We are extremely proud of our Indian Armed Forces who have struck terror camps… We applaud their resolute resolve and courage.”

Pawan Khera: “If Someone Threatens India, They’ll Face the Consequences”

Senior Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera reiterated the party’s full backing:

“We are proud of our Army. If someone threatens Indian citizens, they will meet the same fate… We (Congress) said that we would stand with the government. The country stands united.”

Victim’s Daughter: “India Has Paid Homage Through Operation Sindoor”

Asavari Jagdale, daughter of martyr Santosh Jagdale, who was among the 26 victims of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, expressed deep gratitude toward the Indian government and armed forces:

“India has avenged the Pahalgam attack through these air strikes. I was extremely emotional after hearing the name ‘Sindoor’ of the mission. It extends solidarity to the victims’ widows.”
She noted that Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent visit to Srinagar and interaction with the bereaved families played a role in naming the mission as a tribute to the fallen.

Operation Sindoor: A Coordinated Military Triumph

Executed jointly by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, Operation Sindoor struck four terror camps in Pakistan and five in PoJK, targeting leadership of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The Indian Ministry of Defence clarified that the strikes were “focused, measured and non-escalatory,” avoiding Pakistani military infrastructure.

Strategic and Symbolic Impact

Sources told ANI that Prime Minister Narendra Modi monitored the operation throughout the night. According to CNN, this is India’s most significant military action within Pakistani territory in more than five decades.

Conclusion: A Moment of National Resolve

Operation Sindoor has not only reinforced India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism but has also triggered a rare bipartisan political alignment. With voices from across the political spectrum and the families of victims endorsing the action, the nation appears firmly united in its fight against cross-border terror.
